The UAE’s plane accident investigation company has instructed that the watchdog, DGCA, analysis and fortify regulatory oversight to carry out obvious that airlines give consideration to a stabilised plot at some level of landings in a probe document on the tail-strike incident spirited an Air India Explicit plane.
An Air India Explicit Boeing 737-800 plane operating flight IX331 from Calicut (in Kerala) suffered a tail strike whereas landing on the Ras Al Khaimah Global Airport on April 22, 2025. In response to the probe company, the incident demonstrated deficiencies in adherence to the stabilised plot, energy management, bounce restoration, and CRM utility.
“Subsequently, the Investigation recommends that the DGCA analysis and fortify regulatory oversight to carry out obvious that operators emphasise stabilised plot standards, staunch energy management at some level of landing, and appropriate bounce restoration ways in both coaching and operational procedures,” it said.
